VANCOUVER, BC, May 6, 2020 – Syniad Innovations Inc (“Syniad”) is pleased to announce the incorporation of EcoScreen Solutions Inc (“EcoScreen”) as a wholly owned subsidiary of Syniad’s existing venture, EcoMine Technologies Corporation.
EcoScreen’s mission will be to create novel biosensors for the point-of-care diagnostics market. The global pandemic has sharpened our awareness of the importance of accurate, rapid diagnostic tests. EcoScreen has been established against both the background of the COVID pandemic and a “democratization of diagnosis” meta-trend. EcoScreen’s first steps will be to validate its technology concept as quickly as possible before developing prototypes and, ultimately, diagnostic products.
Iain Evans, Syniad’s Chief Investment Officer, commented, “We are incredibly excited to launch EcoScreen today formally. It’s the culmination of an immense amount of hard work by Rob Greene, the scientific founder of both EcoMine and EcoScreen. As we can see from unfolding events, there is an urgent need for new point-of-care technologies, which breakthroughs in chemistry will drive.”
Rob Greene, CTO of EcoScreen, commented, “It feels excellent to be building a new technology of such potentially high impact on people’s lives. I didn’t expect to be in this position today, and I can’t thank the Syniad team enough for backing a radically new scientific and commercial mission.”
