VANCOUVER, BC, January 1, 2019 – Syniad Innovations Inc (“Syniad”) is pleased to announce that it has accepted a new advisory role to orchestrate and support a network of Universities, Technology Institutes and Colleges in British Columbia.
The Research Universities Council of British Columbia (RUCBC) represents the interests of BC’s research universities. RUCBC’s mandate is to identify issues facing the universities, provide system-wide leadership in developing relevant public policy and communicate on behalf of the university system. Syniad has been retained to provide a coordinating function for RUCBC’s member universities, Technology Institutes and Colleges and act as a focal point for working on large-scale industry-academic collaborations.
Syniad’s CIO, Iain Evans, commented, “Coordinating and aligning industry needs with BC’s world-class academic ecosystem is a tremendous opportunity for Syniad to demonstrate its ability to convene research and innovation leaders across the region. I’m looking forward to this new initiative to champion the strength of the BC eco-system, particularly in the research and development of digital technologies”.
