June 28th, 2023, Vancouver, British Columbia – Syniad Innovations Inc (“Syniad”) is pleased to announce that one of its portfolio companies Patronus Technologies (Patronus), has entered a strategic alliance with QinetiQ UK Ltd to work collaboratively on the development and commercialization of new armour-based products.
The work will encompass the development and maturation of novel materials and processes, including liquid armour for which BAE Systems has transferred a family of patents into the program under Canada’s Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policy. QinetiQ and Patronus will jointly develop innovative, high-performance customer solutions tailored to the future requirements of existing, well-established government customers and those in other partner countries. They have also agreed to explore commercial opportunities beyond the defence sector, where high-performance, military-grade material solutions can have a significant impact on human health and wellness.
