Giles Hill To Join Patronus as CEO

April 18th, 2023, Vancouver, British Columbia – Syniad Innovations Inc (“Syniad”) is pleased to announce that Giles Hill has become the CEO designate of Syniad’s defence materials company, Patronus Technologies (“Patronus”).

Giles Hill was one of the most senior officers in the UK armed forces. He retired in December 2021 after a distinguished and unique military career that took him from a private soldier in the Parachute Regiment to Lieutenant General. He has over three decades of national and international leadership roles and considerable experience in senior roles at the forefront of UK National Security.

Giles is one of the UK’s most experienced operational leaders with multiple operational tours, including Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He was the Commanding Officer of the 1^st Battalion Parachute Regiment and the UK Special Forces Support Group, Commander of 16 Air Assault Brigade, General Officer Commanding the 1^st Armoured and 1^st (United Kingdom) Division and Deputy Commander of the 40-nation NATO Coalition and Senior British Representative in Afghanistan. He also holds the distinction of having been the first Deputy Commanding General of the US 82^nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.  He has held a number of senior roles in the UK MOD, including Assistant Chief of Defence Staff, responsible for the UK’s International policy, plans and global strategy.  He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2014, Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in 2021 and awarded the US Legion of Merit for his leadership.
