Vancouver, British Columbia – May 16, 2025: Syniad Innovations Inc. (“Syniad”) is pleased to announce that its mineral processing technology venture, Brokkr Mineral Resources Corporation (“Brokkr”) is receiving advisory services and funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to support a pilot project under the International Technology Pilot and Demonstration Program (ITPDP).
The pilot project will support the development of Brokkr’s nature-based nickel laterite extraction technology to produce low carbon nickel and cobalt for battery applications, with pilot activities taking place in Canada and Indonesia.
Sean Crowe, CEO of Brokkr commented, “This support from the ITPDP is a direct and exciting outcome of Brokkr’s participation in the Team Canada Trade Mission to Southeast Asia. It reflects the momentum built from Canada and Indonesia’s efforts to deepen collaboration through the CEPA agreement, and enables Brokkr to advance its clean, responsible production of critical minerals, while helping Canada to secure sustainable global supply chains.”
About Brokkr Mineral Resources Corporation
Brokkr develops easy-to-adapt solutions for mineral processing in complex ore bodies and low-grade deposits. Using selective peptide binding technologies paired with bioleaching solutions, Brokkr extracts and processes metals needed for clean energy systems without disrupting the current mining processes. Brokkr’s solutions have been validated at the bench scale with high recovery rates across several different metals. Extensive testing, to date, implies that Brokkr solutions provide a cost-effective alternative to current mineral processing techniques that would enable the recovery of strategic metals from low-grade and high-grade ores with reduced GHG emissions and lower overall environmental risk.
