VANCOUVER, BC, JANUARY 17th, 2024 – Syniad Innovations Inc (“Syniad’) today announced the appointment of Dr. William (Bill) Lyons as a Strategic Advisor and Chair of the Advisory Board. The appointment reflects Syniad’s pattern of success in attracting internationally renowned leadership.
Bill is currently Senior Executive Director of External Capabilities and Partnership of Boeing’s Enterprise Technology Organization. He leads a team responsible for conceiving, planning and developing technology programs and collaborative R&D with universities and partners that will shape the future of aerospace. Bill has a long history of leading global teams, technology transition and partnering to advance aerospace technology. Prior roles include the senior director of Global Engineering, managing the global engineering workforce and leading the placement of strategic work at Boeing’s global engineering centers and building up a network for global research centers. He also has worked as the director of Global Technology, as well as previous general manager of Boeing Research & Technology in Australia. Bill has also worked on development programs in satellite applications, network systems and environment, including sustainable aviation biofuels. In 2003, he was named a Boeing Technical Fellow, a title bestowed on the company’s enterprise experts in aerospace.
Prior to joining Boeing, Bill was a visiting professor at the University of Oklahoma and held senior research scientist roles within the Australian Departments of Defence and Agriculture and was also an Associate Lecturer for the Australian Defence Force Academy. He holds 4 patents has published over 20 scientific papers and five book chapters.
